IML - Finland
Vaasan Marssi
The "Vaasan Marssi" is the Finnish IML march.
The event takes place in the area surrounding the city of Vaasa, approximately 400 km north of Helsinki.
The march spans three days and includes varied routes through urban areas, forests, and along the fjords.
On the way, participants may encounter both moose and mosquitoes (a lot of mosquitoes)!
The march is well-organized, although the selection of shopping options at rest stops is limited.
Both march participants and the local residents are extremely friendly and welcoming - this event comes highly recommended, despite the long journey from Denmark.
In addition to the march itself, visitors in the area can enjoy Vaasa's cultural attractions and maritime atmosphere. The city offers a range of exciting museums, beautiful natural areas, and cozy cafes and restaurants.
Many choose to combine participation in the march with an extended stay in the area to explore the local treasures and the unique atmosphere of Vaasa and the surrounding landscape.
If you love outdoor activities and unique cultural experiences, Vaasan Marssi and the area around Vaasa are a must-visit!
