CORONA

In 2020, the whole world was hit hard by the Corona Pandemic, this led to virtually all international hiking events being cancelled.

As an alternative to the cancelled events, the term "virtual march" was invented. You hike local routes and record your walk on GPS after which you submit your result to the organizer of the virtual march.
