In Denmark, since the war in 1864 against Germany, there has been a strong tradition of voluntary shooting associations to strengthen the population's will to defend. These associations later developed into many different types of sports associations. Today, the shooting associations are only a small part of the many sports associations in DGI that exist, even though it all started with shooting associations for the defense of the fatherland.

I started shooting when I was in the sixth grade in primary school, - it was through a so-called "Children test shooting" in Silkeborg that my interest was aroused; Many years later, I am still a member of both Silkeborg Skyttekreds and some other shooting clubs here in Central Jutland.

Here are my Danish civilian shooting brands from DDSG&I, DDS and DGI.
