The TRIM campaign

On April 1, 1972, the former Danish Walking Association (Dansk Gangforbund) launched the TRIM campaign, which aimed to get the population out into nature and moving - either through long walks or running. After the merger between the Danish Walking Association (Dansk Gangforbund) and the Danish Athletics Association (Dansk Atletik Forbund) on April 1, 2003, the TRIM campaign was continued by the Fitness Committee under the Danish Athletics Association (Dansk Atletik Forbund).

To keep track of the distance covered, the TRIM book was introduced, and to celebrate the many kilometers traveled, medals can be purchased.

The TRIM book and medals can now be bought from the Danish Athletics Association.

Here you can see an overview of kilometers and the different medals:

100 km Bronze medal,

200 km Silver medal,

300 km Gold medal,

1000 - 2000 - 3000 - 4000 - 5000 - 6000 - 7000 - 8000 - 9000 - 10,000 - 15,000 - 20,000 - 25,000 - 30,000 - 35,000 - 40,055 km: medals with various designs.

45,000 km to 100,000 km in intervals of 5,000 km: medals with various designs.

Here's how it works: Record all the kilometers you walk in your TRIM book. Once you've reached the first 100 km, submit your TRIM book to the Danish Athletics Federation if you wish to receive the bronze medal. Then continue walking, and when you reach 200 km, submit the book again if you aim to earn the silver medal.

Continue in this manner, sending the book every time you pass one of the kilometer markers listed, if you desire a medal, following the same process as described above.
