Marchforeningen – FODSLAW
FODSLAW
The story behind Fodslaw.
In the 1960s, a number of home guard members started participating in the Nijmegen marches in Holland. Over time, there arose a need for an association where one could train for these marches. In the fall of 1970, individuals in the Viborg area took the initiative to establish a training association.
The association was named Fodslaw.
Fodslaw has around 3700 members spread across the entire country. There are also several members abroad, mainly in the Nordic countries and Germany.
Fodslaw is divided into 44 local chapters that represent the interests of the members.
For decades, Fodslaw has remained a trailblazer in the realm of hiking and marching in Denmark, promoting physical activity and camaraderie among members.Members of Fodslaw enjoy a wide range of benefits such as access to specialized training programs, social events, and the opportunity to participate in local and international marches. Joining Fodslaw provides individuals with the chance to explore the beauty of Denmark while building lasting friendships and staying active.
Within this association, there is an opportunity to earn the popular Kilometer badges by participating in various walking tours.
These badges are typically used for sewing onto march clothing, backpacks, bags, etc.
