The appearance of the award is related to the deep idea of the so-called "Pillar of Mutuality", a replica of which is now installed at Masaryk's Cottage, around which our march leads. You can also see its current form on the invitation of the CS IPA March 2023.
The original column of mutuality was installed at the cottage as early as 1934, by Štefánik's company and KČST from Moravská Ostrava (then tourist clubs in the borderlands), where the main idea of installing the column was the need to strengthen the mutuality of Czechs and Slovaks.

The medal itself therefore consists of three large symbolisms. The overall form of the medal is created by a linden leaf, which is a symbol of the Slavs and Slavic mutuality. On it there is a dominant eagle holding the Czechoslovak coat of arms in its claws, which captures the historical idea of the cohesion of Czechs and Slovaks and at the same time highlights the homage to the idea of tourist clubs – to stick firmly together. Orlica thus smoothly complements the idea of strength, victory and protection of traditional values.
The ribbon is traditionally complemented by two tricolors, namely the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The purple color of the ribbon gives the medal itself style, humility and originality.
