"The Texas Trail Roundup" is the fourth IML march in the United States.

It was carried out for the first time in 2020.

Only the IML marches in San Antonio – Texas and Arlington – Virginia are still held, the Winston Salem Two-Day Walks and the International Discovery Walk Festival Vancouver are unfortunately closed several years ago.

San Antonio is located in Texas close to the border with Mexico and is the seventh largest city in the United States.

The city is known as the "Military City USA" due to the large number of military installations in the area, the most famous being "Fort Sam Houston" and "Lackland Air Force Base". Over 80,000 people in the city are employed in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The march extends over three days. On Fridays there is a route of 10 Km. In the center of San Antonio, where you pass "The Alamo" and a long stretch on the paths by the river. On Saturdays there are routes of 20 and 40 Km. that go along the river on the other side of the city, you pass several old Spanish mission monasteries here and can enjoy seeing lots of turtles in the river. On Sundays, the route goes along the river again, but on the opposite side of the city to the Saturday route; you also don't miss another visit to "The Alamo"

The whole event is very well executed and overall all the local residents are very friendly and welcoming!

Despite the fact that Texas is far from Denmark, a visit to this hike is definitely recommended!
